JOB SUMMARY
The Manager Financial Systems is responsible for managing the configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, other functions and Jabil partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage financial systems over multiple functions and sites.
· Manage the configuration of systems such as financial reporting infrastructure applications or similar applications.
· Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and multiple financial systems with global coverage.
· Manage the system maintenance standards developed by team members and other functions.
· Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
· Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
· Provide support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
· Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies due to the repair and recovery of software failures.
· Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
· Establish and govern periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
· Support new acquisitions in terms of implementation of Jabil financial systems.
· Mange the compliance with SOX related issues for the financial reporting systems.
· Review memos regarding business processes and compliance and recommend changes where needed.
· Provide adequate communication to local management regarding issues and report status of corrective actions.
· Attend and complete periodic educational platforms to stay informed of emerging issues and maintain a degree of professionalism.
· Assure that procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant.
· Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately.
· Collaborate and assist various teams with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases of financial systems implementations. Activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the application life-cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.
· Participation on projects to ensure smoothing the transition of projects from development to production by performing operations activities within the application life-cycle.
· Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
· Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Accounting experience and knowledge.
· Significant experience and knowledge on IT systems and platforms: IBM Cognos Controller and TM1, and other application systems that support financial reporting, preferred.
· Strong understanding of IT functions. Responsibilities on these systems include provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation.
· Demonstrated project management experience preferably related to systems and platforms implementation and application.
· Able to work with all levels & functions within the organization and co-ordinate activity across functions.
· Pro-active, flexible & confident. Must be able to work the necessary hours to complete the assignment.
· Provide high performance work product and results.
· Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
· Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company’s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
· Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
· Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
· Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
· Strong and convincing communication skills.
· Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Finance/Accounting, or Information Technology preferred.
· Five (5) years work-related experience required, preferably in IT systems field or Finance.
· Significant IT systems and platform work experience preferred.
· Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
