People Advisor – Maternity Cover

In Svitzer we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented People Advisor to join our People & Culture team for a one-year maternity leave cover. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our People function and key in providing great support to our employees and managers.

This People Advisor role is based at Svitzer’s head office in Nordhavn, Copenhagen—close to the metro and train stations - and reports to the Head of People for Global Functions, Sine Juul-Olsen.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will amongst others include:

  • Day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks related to annual processes, i.e. the annual salary review
  • Payroll handling in Visma
  • Vendor creation and invoicing
  • Maintenance and updating of employee data in Workday
  • Preparation of HR documents, such as employment contracts and addenda
  • Employee life-cycle process handling
  • Serving as a point of contact for employee and manager inquiries and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures and other ad hoc tasks

You will work closely with colleagues within the People & Culture team, Finance, and Technology.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and passionate about helping others. Moreover, we expect you to bring:

  • Experience from a similar HR role in an international environment
  • Good interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a sense of urgency and flexibility
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems (we have Workday)
