Position Summary
In this position, the Lead Director-Revenue Cycle is expected to provide strategic support to revenue cycle operations and challenge assumptions and standards of business in an effort to improve overall operational effectiveness and service to CVS Health customers. Leveraging their expertise in process improvement, change management and adherence to Corporate Integrity, the Lead Director will be responsible for developing, staffing and managing a department that fosters collaboration across the operations, with a focus on continuous revenue cycle improvement and alignment with the long-term strategic goals of business.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Develop and administer the Coram Revenue Cycle strategy, in conjunction with other CVS Revenue Cycle operations, to ensure the department is positioned for long-term success.
a) Define department staffing needs to support long-term vision
b) Lead contracting discussions with Payers, Sales and Legal
c) Maintain primary responsibility for resolving all payer issues
d) Evaluate new vendor capabilities, participate in the contracting process and support subsequent onboarding and go-live activities
2. Develop and maintain a strong revenue cycle leadership team and staff through effective recruitment, talent management, creation of a collaborative results-oriented culture, and a focus on continual improvement and provide direct oversight to billing and collections operations ensuring departmental performance goals are met
3. Monitor and trend department performance metrics on a daily and monthly basis. Investigate variances and resolves any issues
4. Participate in revenue cycle strategy development as a thoughtful leader and content expert, sharing best practices, optimizing performance, and leading the transformation.
5. Maintain accountability for providing leadership and financial reporting and support across the revenue cycle operations, including month-end close activities.
6. Serves as a key member of Coram revenue cycle leadership team.
7. Responsible for managing policy and procedure development and adherence


Required Qualifications

10+ years of revenue cycle experience and revenue cycle AR, including 3 years of experience with

• Coram, Specialty pharmacy and/or post-acute operations
• Revenue cycle applications (Epic) and healthcare finance and accounting principles
• Federal, state and commercial payer reimbursement rules and regulations
• Revenue consulting experience managing complex transformation engagements



Preferred Qualifications

· Exceptional verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Experience managing and/or developing a training curriculum, as well as managing a training program
· Ability to lead complex projects and work within timeline and resource constraints
· General knowledge of contracting, finance, accounts receivable, vendor management
· Strong leadership skills and commitment to a team approach; both direct and indirect reports
· Ability to influence key stakeholders at various organizational levels
· Experience with compliance and/or quality improvement programs
· Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects or trainings at one time
· Strong working knowledge of Windows-based software applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)


Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
