Ivy Tech Evansville seeks a part-time Latino Outreach Coordinator to assist in building relationships with prospective students by assisting the admissions department in the development, implementation, and execution of the recruitment plan for the campus. The Latino Outreach Coordinator is responsible for participating in recruitment activities on and off-campus.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Participate in recruiting services on- and off-including  both high school and adult oriented events.
  • Assist with the development of collaborative relationships with on-campus personnel, local schools, colleges/universities, businesses and community agencies and organizations as they relate to the implementation of the campus recruitment plan.
  • Manage, effectively track and recruit potential student groups with the use of a client relationship management (CRM) tool.
  • Use the CRM to assess the effectiveness of various recruitment efforts and make adjustments based on intake and conversion numbers.
  • Coordinate recruitment opportunities effectively by working closely with other college personnel to include: marketing, K-14, Accelerated Associate Program (ASAP) staff, student development, and Financial Aid.

Hiring Range:

  • This position pays $15.00 per hour.

Work Hours:  

  • The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree is required.
  • Demonstrated experience working successfully with diverse populations, including college and school personnel, teachers, and prospective students.
  • Ability to fluently speak Spanish and English.
  • Must possess willingness and ability to travel and work a flexible schedule that includes some evenings and weekends.
  • Position requires an understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ability, and ethnic backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Education, or marketing.
  • Experience working in higher education.
