The Missile Defense Solutions Business (MDS) Unit, part of Launch and Missile Defense Systems Division in Northrop Grumman Space Sector, is seeking an Integrated Operations Manager - 3 for our Colorado Springs, CO location.

Position Overview:

Working closely with the OU (Operating Unit) and BU (Business Unit) leadership, the selected Manager of Integrated Operations will provide team leadership, project management, and strategic vision to ensure successful operations of the site, with strong program performance and business growth, primarily within our Advanced Mission Solutions (AMS) Operating Unit.  The Manager of Integrated Operations will possess the leadership skills to inspire others through integrity, trust, conviction, respect, and the ability to articulate strategy and lead day-to-day operations. This position will report to the MDS BU Integrated Operations Director.


Essential Functions:

  • Overall facility oversight and day-to-day operations of the COCO5 building, including developing strategies to accommodate changing business needs over time, overseeing major CAPEX projects, managing indirect budgets, and interfacing with senior leaders from tenant organizations.
  • Leadership of the local functional teams including facilities, security, IT/Cyber, employee experience, QSMA, Environmental Health & Safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Partnering with the Advanced Mission Solutions OU Director to provide consistent and timely program operations including slides/briefings, daily/weekly/monthly reporting, IPRS, and dashboard metrics.
  • Organizing special events for customers and VIP visits, including developing agendas and presentations.
  • Providing leadership for employee experience program at COCO5 and for MDS BU employees working at nearby customer and partner sites.
  • Supporting the MDS BU Long Range Strategic Planning, Annual Operating Plan and assisting in the development of new business acquisition objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 9 years of experience, or a Master’s degree and 7 years of experience, or a PhD and 4 years of experience.
  • Possess a broad background with a varying portfolio of experiences, not inclusive of or limited to: Facilities, Safety, Security, Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Quality/Mission Assurance.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience, with a team player attitude, innovative thinker, and ability to work in a dynamic changing environment.
  • Ability to see a need and proactively drive solution to completion.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and projects to successful outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, including executive-level briefings.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs.
  • Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a technical, business or related field
  • 15 years of applicable experience, especially in program management and/or operations
  • Strong understanding of Northrop Grumman policies and practices and / or in a similar corporate culture

Salary Range: $164,200.00 - $246,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
