About the Role

The role is to assist Actuarial Manager to provide actuarial service to 2 AIA BUs (Cambodia and Myanmar) by (1) owning part of the regular actuarial report & analysis, (2) contributing to the reporting pipeline improvement project, (3) pricing new products for BU Myanmar (4) provide actuarial insight for strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives of the company, and (5) coaching junior team members.

  • Be the owner of one or more of the following BAU area (on a rotating basis with other team members):

    • Prophet projection model maintenance.

    • Regular actuarial report & analysis, including calculation and trend explanation of reserve, solvency, embedded value, operating profit (OPAT), Value of New Business (VONB), reinsurance, and persistency.

    • Quarterly / Monthly Management Report (QMR)

    • Yearly business / strategic plan

    • Yearly experience study

    • Working with regulator / auditor

  • Contribute to the project “Reporting pipeline improvement”

    • Set up Azure Microsoft SQL Server database to store historical and current reporting (actual/target) data.

    • Use T-SQL to automate / calculate any output requirement.

    • Setup dashboard in Power BI to replace existing Excel-based report.

  • Provide actuarial support to adhoc strategic initiatives by distribution channel & any other tasks assigned by manager as the requirement arise.

  • Provide actuarial pricing support for BU Myanmar:

    • Modeling / Seek approval / Filing new products

    • System setup for new products / new initiatives

    • Reinsurance support

  • Coach junior member in the team

    • Programming / Coding

    • Actuarial concept

    • Accounting concept

    • Working ethics
