The Manager, Financial Risk Management will be part of the overall Pfizer Corporate Treasury organization, reporting to VP, Treasury and will be responsible for the following –

Credit analysis and monitoring of Pfizer’s global investment portfolio and banking partners. Monitoring and reporting diverse programs across FX and interest rate hedging, investments, and working capital. Daily monitoring of compliance with Pfizer’s Financial Risk Management Policy (CP505)   General compliance matters, including but not limited to onboarding, KYC, FATCA, etc.

The individual in this role will work closely with Treasury colleagues in both Dublin and New York, as well as key stakeholders in GBS, Controllers, Corporate Audit and others.  The role provides the opportunity to collaborate across the organization on a range of processes.

  • Performing, coordinating and presenting credit analysis and credit monitoring for Pfizer’s global investment portfolio and banking partners 
  • Preparation of credit reports and credit limit review for new and existing counterparties, whilst also monitoring market developments for potential portfolio impacts
  • Perform ongoing quantitative risk analysis on Pfizer’s global investment portfolio.
  • Coordinate the dynamic discounting effort for enhancing Pfizer’s working capital. Work closely with Procurement, Digital, C2FO and Taulia to ensure that the current system is performing as expected and identify ways of enhancing the scope of this program.
  • Review quarterly and annual financial statements as they pertain to derivative risk management, investments, and share repurchases as part of 10Q/10K preparation.
  • Bring credit recommendations to senior management and manage preparation and delivery of presentation materials.
  • Perform daily check of Pfizer portfolio exposures against counterparty credit limits and investigate and report on limit excesses.
  • Perform daily transactional review to identify, investigate and report on non-standard trades.
  • Monitor FRMP approval requests to ensure an active response (‘Approve’ or ‘Reject’) is provided by the appropriate individual.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new counterparties, bank, brokers etc.
  • Manage ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) requests.
  • Ensure FINRA and QIB certification is updated annually and distributed to relevant counterparties.
  • Manage FATCA compliance through W8 BENS, W9 BENS, etc.

Qualifications:

Financial degree required

3-5 years of proven experience

Advance skills in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint desirable

Demonstrated project management capabilities with excellent organizational and leadership skills; ability to contribute to multiple projects and teams simultaneously essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA/CFA equivalent

Understanding/background in valuation of financial securities and risk management strategies
