Job Description Summary:

To perform on-the-job department specific training utilizing standard work training material. Provide follow up training after new associates or agency workers have been through the initial basic training period. Provide support to employees to ensure that cross-training and/or new associate/agency worker’s have been properly introduced and trained in standard work operations for their specific department.

Job Duties:

This position will generally report to an Operations/Office Coach but may receive direction from management staff and the Safety Coordinator. Maintains cooperative relationship with all team members and must be able to work overtime as needed. Conducts on-the-job and standard work skills training in their specific department. May be required to help support and/or develop additions to standard work or update department specific policies and procedures. Assists with coordinating various training support systems and activities, including training proposals, etc. Identifies and maintains training records/data. Sets up, operates and maintains training equipment. Will also perform material handling and warehousing functions.

This team member will be the primary trainer for 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday from 11:30pm-7:30am) and will be responsible for conducting process trainings to production team members. As part of the Denver, CO Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD) the role is responsible for the entire facility while reporting to the Operations leadership team.

The ideal candidate needs to be self-motivated while occasionally working unsupervised. Previous experience training or teaching others is a plus but is not required. Applicant needs to be in good standing with a good safety record and willing to work in a Servant-based leadership role; you will lead by example.

Supports Site PSLD Operations leadership team in variety of other duties such as but not limited to:

· Powered Industrial Truck Program Management

· New hire in process training

· Targeted performance process training

· Additional trainings as required

Basic Qualifications:

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Other strengths include patience, attention to detail and accountability

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

· The ability to compose, write, and communicate safety-related information

· Strong teamwork skills needed, including the ability to work effectively with all employees

· Must be self-starter, i.e. quick learner and able to research and learn on his/her own

· Fluent working with computers and Microsoft Office programs

· Understanding of facility safety protocols and procedures

· Reasonable accommodations will be made regarding scheduling.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

• At least 6 months to one year of prior training experience, OR

• Proven experience in effectively facilitating team meetings and conducting training programs.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for intervals of 15-30 minutes.

• Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures

• Walk, squat, and bend over for intervals of 15-30 minutes, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Operate pneumatic tools

• Operate forklift, cherry pickers, etc.

Summary Pay Range:

$21.60 - $28.10

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
