Application Development Specialist / Senior Application Development Specialist
(PeopleSoft PeopleTools – Integration Broker)
Role Summary
As a PeopleSoft Integration Broker Developer, you will be part of Accenture s Application Services / ERP Practice, responsible for building and supporting enterprise-grade integrations between PeopleSoft HCM and internal or third party systems. You will work closely with functional teams, architects, and client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high performance integrations across complex HR landscapes.
This role requires strong hands-on PeopleTools and Integration Broker expertise, with ownership of design, build, testing, and production support activities.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure, and support PeopleSoft Integration Broker solutions, including inbound and outbound integrations.
Build and maintain integrations using REST and SOAP web services, XML/JSON messaging, and file based interfaces.
Configure and manage Service Operations, Routings, Nodes, Gateways, and Handlers within PeopleSoft Integration Broker.
Develop supporting technical components using PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, SQR, and BI Publisher.
Integrate PeopleSoft with third party and upstream/downstream systems (for example: HR platforms, identity systems, vendor applications).
Perform end to end integration testing, error analysis, message reprocessing, and root cause analysis for failed integrations.
Collaborate with functional consultants, security teams, and infrastructure teams to ensure integrations meet business, security, and compliance requirements.
Support production incidents, service requests, and enhancement activities in line with defined SLAs.
Contribute to technical design documentation, test scripts, and deployment artifacts.
Participate in code reviews, defect resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Must Have Skills
Strong hands on experience with PeopleSoft PeopleTools (8.6x).
Proven expertise in PeopleSoft Integration Broker configuration and development.
Solid working knowledge of PeopleCode, Application Engine, and Component Interfaces.
Experience with REST/SOAP web services, XML, JSON, and integration security concepts.
Good understanding of PeopleSoft HCM data structures.
Experience working in support and/or implementation projects with direct client interaction.
Good to Have Skills
Experience integrating PeopleSoft with other systems.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft security, roles, permission lists, and integration authentication.
Exposure to PeopleTools upgrades, environment migrations, or cloud hosted PeopleSoft (OCI or similar).
Familiarity with Agile delivery models and DevOps practices.
Ability to mentor junior team members and support offshore/onshore coordination.
