JOB SUMMARY

Builds, tests, troubleshoots to component level, and repairs production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems by performing the following duties on typical more complex product lines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assembles parts in specified relationship to each other.
  • Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
  • Phase out, repair, and evaluate units and PCB’s.
  • Operate production and conventional test equipment and tools. (DVM, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot problems to discrete component levels.
  • Works at different workstations and/or in different cells as production needs require.
  • Reports directly to Line Lead of the work cell.
  • Read and interpret schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Perform programming and troubleshooting issues found during programming of PCB’s.
  • Perform test on products per engineering specifications.
  • Documents unit failures and records trends.
  • Keep records on updates and modifications.
  • Ensures product traceability.
  • Ensures quality of product through consistency.
  • Works with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Engineering to capture issues found during troubleshooting.
  • Requests additional parts needed for specified job orders from Stockroom.
  • Ensures FOD/5S practices are followed to maintain clean and orderly workstations.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
  • Ability to use all types of hand tools, and some small power tools.
  • Advanced soldering skills.
  • Ability to train other Technicians and/or assemblers.
  • Ability to track trends in failures

Qualifications & Work Experience (Years):

  • Technical Associate Degree (Diploma) in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation  or
  • 4 to 6 years’ experience as a Technician.

Travel Requirement: Should be willing to travel abroad and within India as required by business based on project requirements
