Job Description Summary:

Our Global Markets organisation is seeking a high-performing Senior Director of SMB for our European Business. The focus of this role is the commercial management of our SMB segment in-market, covering the full lifecycle from acquisition to engagement and retention.

The role is highly visible in the organisation and reports into the SVP Europe, within the Global Markets Organisation. It involves frequent collaboration with senior leaders in the Global SMB organisation, Product, Sales, Partner Management, Risk and Analytics.

Job Description:

You’ll be responsible for:

Own SMB performance and product solutions in the region identifying improvement opportunities and develop winning segment strategies
Manage performance against SMB KPIs and OKRs across Portfolio Growth, New Acquisition, Retention and Product Penetration.
Localize the global SMB strategy ensuring product/market fit.  Define the winning product value proposition, competitive strategy and commercial approach.
Lead SMB Sales, define the distribution strategy, approach and targets.
Act as the Voice of SMB for Europe to deliver actionable customer feedback into product and GTM teams
Develop the SMB commercial strategy (pricing, incentives) in-line with the market and segment strategy.
Leverage the Partner ecosystem to drive new merchant attach and optimize our product distribution
Work with SMB Marketing to define SMB positioning and drive SMB campaigns (top to lower funnel).

Required Skills Include

Commercial management experience with P&L accountability, preferably in the SMB segment.
10+ years of experience in managing teams and leaders ideally across multiple geographies. Track record of achieving targets across a multi-team organization.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence effectively in a complex, matrixed organization.
Exceptional commercial acumen and command of KPIs and financials combined with first-rate executive-level storytelling.  Strong analytical mindset and proven ability to turn data into action.
Creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing practices and mindsets and ability to instil within a team.
