Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years related work experience in accounting and the financial services.
  • College/University graduate preferably Accounting / Finance. CPA is a big plus.
  • Must pass current job expectations and meet or exceed performance metrics.
  • Must not have any attendance issues and have not received any disciplinary action.
  • Effective interaction and communication skills to communicate issues to management and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and solve complex transactions / situations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Attention to details and accuracy are critical in completing tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with JETS to create and post journal entries.
  • Decisions are made using judgment based on skills and knowledge already developed.
  • Demonstrates strong organization and documentation skills to evidence a clear audit trail for work performed.
  • Ability to prioritize work deliverables and projects based on changing business needs.
  • Ability to coach/mentor junior team members

Technical Skills:

  • Strong PC skills with the advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel (with Macro and VBA is a plus)
  • Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly and work effectively in a changing environment.

Minimum Skills Requirements to Go-live:

Product Specific Knowledge

  • General accounting
  • Candidate must have comprehensive Life insurance products knowledge.

Process Specific Knowledge

  • Research and investigate variances and come up with the resolution in clearing suspense items.
  • Daily reconciliation of assigned accounts.
  • Daily reporting
  • Maintain accounting procedures and documentation.
  • Work on Ad-hoc projects as assigned.
