About the team:

Our Connectivity Engine Product Manager will work primarily within our Capital Markets group across Product Management, Product Development, Customers, and Sales & Marketing to detail requirements and specifications need to implement enhancements to the solution. Our Product Manager will promote the product and vision as defined by the Capital Market Strategy & Product Management teams. This position will be key to delivering and maintaining leading-edge products and services.

What you'll be doing:

  • Promote product and vision as defined by the Securities Processing Group & Product Management team leadership
  • Work closely with Sales and Relationship Management to build customer relationships, gain knowledge of prospects, and provide product expertise
  • Provide Product Development with business requirements for development projects, including scope definition and design
  • Work closely with Product Development throughout software development life cycle to ensure success of development initiatives
  • Assist Product Development with creation of use cases and test scripts for development projects.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers for cross-functional product enhancements, including regulatory and industry initiatives.
  • Work closely with other FIS business units to provide updates on product roadmap and enhancements, including regulatory and industry initiatives.
  • Manage the interface engines that either connect from a client into Securities Processing Manager (SPM), formerly known as Phase3, or connection from SPM into an external entity from a product management standpoint, including but not limited to the following engine protocols: FIX, Bloomberg XML, Murex (XML), Webservices (REST and SOAP), Csv files (spreadsheet upload), SWIFT ISO 20022 (corporate actions), CTM
  • Interact with Customers, Product Development, Sales and Marketing to identify new opportunities for product enhancements
  • Work alongside Product Development on new product and feature development, to set development priorities, requirements definition, and specification development, contribute to testing and manage products through initial launch and subsequent releases
  • Develop product collateral such as technical white papers, presentations, and sales tools.
  • Participate with the sales organization in client visits, on and off-site, to understand market requirements, monitor new product introductions and identify new opportunities.
  • Support the Sales and Marketing team by providing collaterals and product presentations and through participation in analysis of competition.
  • Develop and implement a product roadmap, product plans, business cases including cost analysis and ROIs.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases and plans, forecasting, pricing and positioning of the new product offerings.
  • Participate in Industry committees, sub-committees and working groups, as needed.
  • Provide internal and external training for new products and features.
  • Lead user groups and working groups composed of clients and FIS personnel to provide information on product and industry initiatives.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and 7-10 years of experience in financial services industry, product management or product development in securities operations or broker-dealer operations
  • Strong knowledge of the securities industry, especially in the area of messaging processing and protocols including FIX, Bloomberg XML, TRACE, UTC
  • Ability to read and interpret interface specifications and broad industry initiatives into detailed format requirements
  • Knowledge of FIS Securities Processing operations
  • Proven ability to research, analyze and generate scope and business requirements documents and product roadmap
  • General understanding of user experience constructs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and influence teams in terms of work priorities
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver within specified deadlines following a defined software development lifecycle
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology
  • Ability to see and understand the “big picture” and to translate strategic business objectives into tactical steps
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to produce high quality, detailed requirements and specification documents
  • Experience in interacting with upper management and senior leadership preferred

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $142,370.00 - $239,190.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
