Key Responsibilities:
- ABAP Development with RAP: Design and develop custom applications using the Restful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) in SAP S/4HANA.
- Custom Reports and Enhancements: Develop custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows as per business requirements, specifically within the OTC domain.
- Order-to-Cash (OTC) Expertise: Collaborate with functional teams to understand the OTC business processes, translate requirements into technical designs, and develop custom solutions to enhance the OTC cycle. Desirable.
- SAP Fiori and CDS Views: Leverage SAP Fiori for UI development and Core Data Services (CDS) views for data modeling and integration with front-end applications.
- Integration: Ensure seamless integration between SAP and non-SAP systems by developing and supporting interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, and APIs.
- Technical Design & Documentation: Create technical design documents, detailed specifications, and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Testing and Debugging: Perform unit testing, troubleshoot, and debug existing ABAP code to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Collaboration: Work closely with functional consultants, solution architects, and project managers to deliver SAP solutions that meet business requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide recommendations for continuous improvement, optimization of SAP processes, and leverage the latest SAP technologies to improve system performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model) in SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Extensive experience with SAP's Order-to-Cash (OTC) process, including knowledge of sales orders, deliveries, billing, and pricing.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in ABAP, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Expertise in SAP RAP, CDS Views, BOPF, and OData services.
- Experience with SAP Fiori and UI5 development.
- Strong understanding of SAP enhancements using BAdIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework.
- Hands-on experience with SAP integration technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, and APIs.
- Knowledge of SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) module and related components like pricing, billing, and shipping is highly preferred.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- SAP certification in ABAP or S/4HANA Development is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is a plus.
