Job Summary: 

Coordinates the rates process in support of the customer sales teams by analyzing and supplying rates information, as well as provides reports to secure Sales contracts and lanes. Assists the Senior Pricing Analyst with additional tasks outside of essential duties. 

Essential Duties:

  • Prices and coordinates Requests for Proposals (RFPs) with appropriate Sales Team members, ensuring that all deadlines are met

  • Complete Customer requests for company information

  • Assist Operations with Customer on-boarding

  • Archives all the RFPs by uploading data into the logistics management software (LMS) and maintaining digital records for every customer

  • Assists with new customer setup, including communicating with Credit and Support staff to ensure all documents and procedures are disseminated to the appropriate personnel 

  • Uploading rates for awarded lanes into the LMS

  • Production of weekly fuel report

  • Maintains fuel records for all Customers including: setup in LMS, calculation of fuel based on Customer requirements, and resolution of small fuel cuts with Accounts and Operations

  • Assists Senior Pricing Analyst with additional tasks

Experience and Skills:

  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in transportation logistics operations

  • Advanced computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerBi, Adobe, customer web sites, keyboard proficiency)

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Experience maintaining professional and cooperative relationships with all internal and external customers

  • Experience working independently and making sound decisions under demanding time constraints

  • Experience performing under heavy demands while maintaining exceptional quality

  • Experience performing detail-oriented tasks

  • Ability to recognize and correct discrepancies

  • Effective multi-tasking

  • Discretion in handling confidential material

  • A customer-driven and team-oriented individual who collaborates across the company

Education Requirements:

  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred: Bachelors Degree in a related field of study (Business Administration, Transportation Logistics, Supply Chain management, etc.), or technical school certification in Business Administration, Transportation Logistics or other related field of technical study

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some administrative-type duties may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bending or stooping as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours.

Introductory Period:

Progress reports at 30 and 60 days with a review by management at 90 days.
