Job Description:

As a Occupational health and safety doctor you will be working with the industrial safety law, taking into account state and employer's-liability-insurance-association-related legal requirements, as well as the stipulated operating times and areas of responsibility, in all questions of industrial protection and health protection, of accident prevention and of designing work in a manner suitable for human beings. Developing initiatives and tools in order to ensure a high sense of responsibility and a high degree of motivation in all employees involved in industrial protection and health protection.

Fulfilling legal requirements for the legally-secure operation of systems in the company, and involvement in the implementation of these requirements, as well as carrying out weak-point analyses and worst-case examinations. Developing measures to ensure that orders are processed taking into account all environmental aspects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Audits of medical services to comply with the minimum infrastructure and equipment requirements of establishments for medical care of outpatients. (NOM-005-SSA3)
  •  Generate and standardize all medical guidelines and formats. For example, to regulate the surveillance of workers' health, general medical care, monitoring of pregnant and lactating women, performance of special examinations, etc.
  •  Carry out general procedures for manual load handling, active breaks, hearing conservation, etc.
  •  Compliance with NOM-010-STPS, NOM-011-STPS, NOM-036-1-STPS and NOM 035
  •  Perform medical examinations for new employees and periodic examinations for personnel, in accordance with the provisions of the guidelines.
  •  Monitoring the company's health plan. Supervision of dining room conditions and staff.
  •  Carry out the annual worker health surveillance program.
  •  Monitoring and internal control of IMSS documents for work risk: ST-7, S-2, ST-9, ST-4, ST-3, ST-8.
  •  Perform situational health diagnosis of the site.
  •  Conducting an Annual Program for the Promotion of Public and Occupational Health.
  •  Manage health campaigns on sites.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years as on-site occupational health coordinator/staff doctor.
  • Management of health and ergonomics campaigns
  • Experience working in maquiladoras
  • Doctor with Specialty in occupational health
  • English Advanced
