Salary: From £38,000 depending on skills and experience held

Hours: 42 hours/week
Village Vet (part of Linnaeus) are seeking to appoint a Clinical Nurse Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team and support the nurse teams across three sites in Hertfordshire.
Applicants should have a minimum 2 to 3 years in practice experience post RCVS registration and minimum one-year previous leadership/line manager experience. Evidence of leadership training or qualifications would be an advantage as would a Clinical Supervisor or Mentoring qualification.
Village Vet is a well-established group of small animal practices, with a mixture of small medium & hospital sites across Herts & Cambridge & London. The Herts region includes the St Albans hospital, a midsized site at Potters Bar & a smaller site at Berkhamsted
The clinical team bring a variety of experience and a typical day sees an interesting and varied caseload, including routine surgery, some orthopaedic cases, dentistry, a variety of medical cases and the Berkhamsted site has a particular focus on exotics too
Your role and responsibilities
As Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be primarily based at St Albans with travel to Potters Bar & Berkhamsted on a regular basis to support the teams.
We are looking for an advocate for veterinary nursing, leading from the front, creating a culture of continuous improvement, clinical excellence, and development across all three sites. Ensuring quality assurance of nursing care and standard operating procedures within all sites and overseeing the implementation of learning, development for nurses that is aligned to the practice vision for growth.
The Clinical Nurse Manager will also play a key role in the provision of, strategic, professional, and operational leadership for the nursing team with nurse utilisation as a focus for improving services. Providing a nursing voice as part of the Senior Leadership Team to manage and deliver on complex and changing workloads within tight timescales.
