Senior Manager, Consumer Business Operations 

Nerdy is seeking a Senior Manager, Consumer Business Operations to lead and drive the efficiency of the company's consumer business operations. This role will play a key part in optimizing operational processes and workflows for the sales, Marketplace, and customer retention teams, while also implementing new tools and technologies to support scalability. The Senior Manager will ensure operational excellence, quality control, and continuous improvement in Marketplace performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is someone who is both detail-oriented and process-driven, and who excels at enabling teams to maximize productivity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master's degree or MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in operations/fulfillment/customer success teams, with a proven record managing those functional teams
  • Proven track record of optimizing processes, implementing workflow improvements, and driving operational excellence
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire direct reports
  • Advanced analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel skills required, SQL and Looker (or other visualization tools experience) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present insights to senior leadership
  • High level of organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment

Responsibilities:

  • Operations Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to improve operational performance and efficiency across the entire business.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing fulfillment and/or customer success team, driving productivity and engagement.
  • Process Optimization: Refine operational workflows to increase efficiency and alignment with industry best practices.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data and analytics to identify trends, drive insights, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Enablement: Oversee the development and execution of enablement programs, tools, and content to empower the broader team for success.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with departments such as marketing, finance, and product to ensure alignment and smooth execution of go-to-market strategies.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of personnel and initiatives.
  • Budget Management: Oversee and manage the budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.
  • Forecasting: Partner with leadership and BI  to develop accurate forecasts and provide insights for strategic resource allocation.
