The Technology Solutions Senior Associate’s primary role is generating quotes for hardware and software product sales opportunities for RSM’s Technology clients with large-scale ($100M or higher), multi-location/geography and/or international needs. The opportunities will come from internal Consultants, sales staff and directly from the client. Product knowledge and overall understanding of IT is required. This role will ensure quoted products will meet client requirements and work properly in the client's environment. They will ensure timely completion of duties and quality of quotes. Work with team to ensure knowledge transfer and cross-training. Work with vendors to maintain and develop relationships, and learn about all potential pricing options and special promotions to ensure the best pricing.

 

Essential Duties

Quoting duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Develop a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems.
  • Design updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.
  • Translate requirements created by functional consultant into the architecture for that solution and describing it through architecture and design artifacts.
  • Provide technical expertise on complex configurations for integrated solution requirements.
  • Create client facing product quotes for opportunities identified.
  • Research product pricing.
  • Ensure all products defined in architected solution are compatible technically, can communicate on a collaborated platform with Operating System and system language.
  • Technical product and solutions resource for functional consultants and Technology Solutions Associates.
  • Certify new solutions to ensure technical standards.
  • Research product availability and define technical requirements for alternative products when needed.
  • Troubleshoot product compliance for IT projects.
  • Review feedback from clients and consultants in order to access possible improvements to existing products and also the need for new products.
  • Provide input, creative solutions and ideas to the management team and IT consultants on product offerings.
  • Train team members.
  • Streamline and improve processes.

 

Relationship Management duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Develop vendor relationships and learn pricing programs.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing to register opportunities with vendors.
  • Develop strong product knowledge as well as obtain product certifications when required.
  • Maintain Manufacturers technical certifications for design architecture.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Advanced understanding of computers and computer systems
  • Ability to work within a team atmosphere
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 4-6 years of technology experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Technology
  • Technical certifications

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $69,800 - $115,500

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
