Position Title: Program Coordinator, School Partnerships

Position Type: Full-Time

FLSA Classification: NON-EXEMPT

Reports to: Program Manager, School Partnerships  

Compensation Range: $17.45 - $26.20

About Crystal Bridges & The Momentary:

Crystal Bridges is a museum of American art located in Bentonville, Arkansas. We explore the unfolding story of America by actively collecting, exhibiting, interpreting, and preserving outstanding works that illuminate the American heritage and artistic possibilities. Founded by Alice Walton in 2005, the museum opened in 2011 and is a public, non-profit charitable organization with free admission.

The Momentary is a new contemporary art space that opened to the public on February 22, 2020, in downtown Bentonville, Arkansas. A satellite to Crystal Bridges, the Momentary presents visual, performing, and culinary arts. The mission of the Momentary is to champion contemporary art’s role in everyday life and explore the unfolding story of contemporary American arts in an international context by actively commissioning and exhibiting outstanding works that explore new ideas and inspire action.

Position Summary:

The Coordinator of School Partnerships is instrumental in building strong, lasting connections between Crystal Bridges and schools across the state. This role focuses on relationship-building, program logistics, and traveling to schools and communities (approximately 30% of the time) to support program implementation. 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the program manager of school partnerships, lead the daily operations of school partnerships, ensuring alignment with Learning & Engagement practices. 
  • In collaboration with the program manager of school partnerships, serve as the main point of contact between the museum and partner schools, fostering relationships and managing logistics. 
  • Travel regularly (about 30%) to schools and communities to support program initiatives across the state. 
  • In collaboration with the program manager of school partnerships and the manager of arts integration, facilitate professional development workshops for educators, managing event logistics and follow-up. 
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Arts Integration to co-develop educational resources and lesson plans for partner schools. 
  • Work with the Data Strategy team to evaluate program success through surveys and data, making recommendations for improvement. 
  • Collaborate across departments, including curatorial, exhibitions, and communications, to support partnership experiences. 
  • Stay current on trends in arts education and school partnerships, incorporating new ideas into program planning. 
  • Assist in creating and distributing materials that enhance the school partnership experience. 
  • Ensure smooth operational processes and maintain effective communication with schools and internal teams. 
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Strategic Operations and Director of the Windgate Education Initiative for Learning and Engagement. 

Qualifications and Skills:

Education, Training, Traits: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Interest in K-12 education and arts education 

Work Experience: 

  • Minimum of two years working in an education or non-profit capacity 

Licenses and Certifications: 

  • Valid Arkansas driver’s license with clean driving record 

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Experienced and effective public speaker, with outstanding customer service skills 
  • Highly organized and efficient with all details and tasks 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team 
  • Ability to effectively multitask in a fast paced environment

  • Physical demands: In the work environment described below, position requires working at a desk and utilizing a computer and a telephone, good eye/hand coordination, bending and stretching, standing and sitting, the ability to move around galleries, the classrooms, and throughout the museum, including travel on the outdoor trails. Visual acuity to review written materials is required for this job. 
  • Work environment: Work will be performed in an office environment, museum galleries, art studios, outdoors on the trails. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the Museum work environment is usually low to moderate
