THE ROLE
The Rotational Development Program (RDP) is designed to provide hardworking and highly motivated new graduates from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to gain exposure to and become fully immersed in the investment management industry. We are looking to attract, develop, and retain future leaders across the organization.
In addition to on-the-job experience, RDP Associates will receive structured mentorship, tailored professional development seminars, networking opportunities, and formalized training. Upon successful completion of the program, the RDP Associate will have the opportunity to be placed in a permanent position at MFS based on your interests and business needs. This program is scheduled to start June 2025. The RDP Associates will work in our hybrid schedule (3 core days in-person, 2 remote) from our Boston, Massachusetts office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Rotational Development Program (RDP) Associate - will rotate through a sequence of three, eight-month rotations across different areas of our Finance and Compliance Teams:
Corporate Finance: Gain exposure to many aspects of how Corporate Finance supports the business units, including: reporting actual financial results and key performance indicators, budgeting and forecasting, client billing, dealer payments and analytics, competitive analytics, cost allocations and profitability models.
Fund Treasury: Learn many of the Fund Treasury responsibilities in overseeing the administration and financial operations of the collective investment schemes that we manage, including: production and filing of fund financial reports and tax filings, valuation of investments held in collective investment products, oversight of key fund service providers and all aspects of NAV calculation, fund distributions to shareholders, board relationships and reporting
Compliance: Explore various aspects of Compliance to gain a comprehensive understanding of its role within the organization. This includes recognizing the effects of regulatory changes, managing conflicts, such as personal trading, conducting diverse monitoring or testing activities, and aiding in the evaluation and reporting of MFS’ compliance programs.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You have obtained or are in your final year in pursuit of an undergraduate degree (Bachelors) in Finance / Economics or related disciplines
Must have good communication and organizational skills.
Must be a quick learner with an interest in gaining exposure to the innerworkings of investment management.
Must be detail oriented, a team player and possess a strong work ethic.
Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel & Teams) and Salesforce a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills and passion for developing relationships.
Work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Strong analytical, communication, organizational and project/people management skills.
Strong attention to detail
Analytical, organizational as well as written and verbal communication skills preferred.
