The AVP of Enterprise Productivity Management is a key leadership role within the organization that will lead and be responsible for large transformational initiatives that deliver significant expense savings. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Head of Enterprise Productivity Management, the role will focus primarily on transformation techniques to deliver balanced improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, scalability, and/or integration of business units or capabilities across the enterprise. The position is crucial at Manulife and requires a leader who demonstrates outstanding abilities in leadership, including emotional intelligence, collaboration, and building relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the segments and functions to identify and deliver on initiatives required to achieve efficiency targets, which underpin our external dedication to achieve a better cost-efficiency ratio consistently.
  • Ensure the transformation initiatives are aligned with the corporate & business strategy and priorities, business transformation goals, growth of high-opportunity businesses, customer experience, cost reductions, efficiency improvements, etc.
  • Lead all aspects of the transformation initiatives reporting on schedule, budget, scope, quality, risks/issues/dependencies, and benefit realization.
  • Provide visibility and clarity in the delivery of progress and financial performance of transformation initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively and establish relationships with senior collaborators, especially the initiative sponsor and business Lead(s), to elicit requirements to deliver the business objectives and vision.
  • Develop recommendations for change, support implementation, and provide direction and consultancy to business leaders and project teams.
  • Ensure measurable results by establishing performance metrics, business cases, and KPIs, while maintaining industry knowledge and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with others to effectively communicate the progress of transformation projects, securing support from collaborators, customers, and team members. Implement frameworks for continuous improvement to sustain lasting change, taking full ownership of the success of all initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Consulting, Business Process Transformation and driving large-scale change initiatives with good exposure to the Financial Services industry.
  • Master or Bachelor degree with experience driving transformation in functions like operations, technology, etc.
  • Knowledge of transformation techniques and methodologies (Operating model design, Six Sigma, Agile, etc.).
  • Extensive experience in driving operating model changes, process optimization, location optimization, etc.
  • Knowledge of the latest technology developments, including new technologies, etc.

  • A highly motivated senior individual who can work independently with minimal direction.
  • A teammate who can connect well with peers and interact successfully with business partners and regional functions at all levels as required.
  • Remarkable communication skills with high emotional intelligence to read the room and adapt accordingly.
  • Global leadership experience leading teams within and working with colleagues across a multi-national, geographically distributed environment.

Salary range is expected to be between

$123,400.00 CAD - $229,300.00 CAD
