Overview:

Routes new loans within the workflow application, reviews loan account opening documentation for accuracy, communicates documentation errors and exceptions to dealerships through Bank systems,  and completes all new-loan set-up activities for these loans.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review account opening documentation for accuracy and completeness for automobile, boat and recreational vehicle (RV) loans.
  • Book these loans to Bank systems.
  • Fund the loans to external dealerships.
  • Identify errors in account opening paperwork; escalate as appropriate to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Ensure personal booking batches balance at the end of each day and reconcile any discrepancies to ensure accurate internal accounting.
  • Electronically attach incoming loan closing documentation to applicable loan application in the system of record.
  • Enter financial data from loan contract into system of record.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

The Indirect Post Closing team is responsible for ensuring dealer originated documents for Automobile, Boat, and Recreation Vehicle (RV) Installment loans have been executed appropriately and all Credit Policy and regulatory requirements have been met.  This team completes the loan set-up and funding process for these loans and alerts business partners to any outstanding issues.

Education and Experience Required:

High school or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 1 year work experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.11 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
