The Healthcare Strategy Project Manager serves as the functional program manager, providing day-to-day leadership for projects related to enrollment growth, admissions, and stakeholder engagement as they pertain to health sciences and biosciences. Additionally, the Project Manager is required to sustain existing and develop new strategic employer partnerships that grow and expand learning opportunities for students of the College. The Project Manager engages with stakeholders identified by the college leadership and other partners, both internal and external to the College, to further develop relationships and connect employers with education programs that meet their workforce needs. In a highly dynamic environment, this position oversees significant coordination required between community-based workforce partners, faculty and academic programs, student services, and Career Services to deliver high-quality experiential opportunities for students of the College to enhance student learning and success.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Project Management & Leadership
Manages projects to deliver them within scope, within budget, and with high levels of quality throughout the project lifecycle. Actively participates as part of the project team to create deliverables and complete project tasks as needed. Serves as liaison to internal partners, industry partners, faculty,y and department chairs. Identifies and organizes project teams in collaboration with the internal and external stakeholders, as identified.
Schedules and manages project team meetings and assigns activities to project team members. Establishes agreement with team members on due dates, cost and quality expectations. Monitors team member performance and activity completion. Develops charter and work plan in consultation with project teams.
Reviews and facilitates the creation of high-level deliverables. Confirms accuracy of deliverables with stakeholders. Identifies the need for resources from outside the College (i.e., equipment, software, contractual expertise). Works with teams to facilitate the creation of current process maps to then identify improvements within the scope of projects. Works with the designated staff to ensure the creation and filing of accurate “end of project” process maps.
Building Partnerships
Partners with Healthcare Strategy teammates to create strategic engagement plans for potential industry partners. Assists in creating and fostering relationships with industry partners across programs. Engages employers directly to promote programs and ensure industry needs are aligned and expectations are being met. Assesses the needs of industry partners to promote various approaches to experiential learning programs, incumbent training and on-site delivery of academic programs.
Identifies project issues that require resolution and creates issue list. Escalates issues for resolution when appropriate. Develop options for decision-makers.
Fiscal & Administrative
Oversees the completion of project reports. Identifies best practices from peer institutions, industry partners, and communities of interest that support the overall project scope and quality. Prepares and presents status reports to all levels of management. Manages reporting and creates project management documentation that follows project management lifecycles. Review the project for completeness. Identifies requirements and ensures the technical lead understands requirements. Oversees the creation of requirements documents. Identifies project quality metrics and expected outcomes (i.e., required completion dates, budget limits, and quality standards).
Analyzes and controls project expenses throughout the life of projects, working with internal and external stakeholders. Monitors project budget. Inspects deliverables to confirm they meet the requirements. Presents deliverables to customers and identifies deficiencies. Amends project planning documents (schedule, budget, etc.) to allow for correction. Confirms or creates change management processes.

Attends all required department meetings and training.

Manages multiple assignments of varying complexity with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the College and business partners.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical office environment. Regular exposure to moderate noise typical to business offices.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Two (2) years of experience managing high-level projects from design through implementation.T
Three (3) years of relevant work experience in Higher Education and/or the Private Sector.
