Job Summary
As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for initiating dialogue, building long-term relationships, and closing partnerships with target orthodontic, pediatric, and oral surgery practices in your coverage territory.
This is a remote position with preference for candidates based in or near Charlotte, Orlando, Atlanta, Jacksonville, or Tampa. Other locations with ability to travel to Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, and South Carolina coverage territories will also be considered.
Job Duties:
Achievement of core activity and performance KPIs (including owner meetings, financial submissions, and closed deal volume targets).
Prospecting, networking, and outreach to initiate dialogue and relationship with owners of target practices.
Cultivate and grow long-term relationships with practice owners.
Educate practice owners on Rock Dental, including Rock’s value proposition to owners, associate doctors, and teammates.
Build owner interest in considering a partnership with Rock Dental.
Provide insights on owner goals and target practice dynamics to internal team to support valuation and partnership offer process.
Present and support negotiations of partnership offers to target practices.
Attend relevant industry and regional conferences and tradeshows.
50% travel required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience in sales or business development with orthodontist, pediatric dentist, oral surgeon, or general dentist end customer/client (similar experience in other healthcare industries will also be considered).
Self-starter that thrives in environment that rewards initiative, create thinking, and strong problem-solving ability.
Authentic personality, including ability to develop deep and long-lasting relationships with specialty dentists.
Interest to learn and become proficient in financial considerations and deal structuring fundamentals that lead to successful M&A (prior M&A experience and/or MBA not required).
Travel Requirements
50% travel is required.
