Role Overview

You will be part of the CIO Office and IT PMO function and help ensure the smooth and predictable delivery of change projects for Group IT. Primarily your focus will be on the PMO activities focusing on the governance, standards and process and running the quarterly Group IT dashboards and reporting. Where capacity allows, you will be assigned small to medium projects to deliver.

From a PMO perspective, you will be tasked to continue with the implemented governance, standards, process and tooling and look for improvements and additional rigor and control to projects that are delivered both by in-house project teams as well as external partners.

You will also be responsible for reporting of projects and portfolio and champion the project toolsets. In addition, you will use your reporting and analytical skills to help the CIO Office deliver the key reports and dashboards for the Global IT Department.

The role is based in London but occasionally you will be expected to travel to France and more exceptionally to other countries outside of Europe.

Responsibilities

PMO and Reporting

  • Work as a PMO for Group IT ensuring alignment with the CIO’s strategy.
  • Ensure project standards are met including, planning, reporting, RAID management, budgeting, governance and resource management.
  • Providing quality assurance over plans, budgets, reporting and governance.
  • Running the Portfolio Governance Forum.
  • Act as a point of escalation and provide support and guidance to all Project Coordinators, Project Managers and Programme Managers.
  • Ensure rigour is applied in meeting the requirements of each project lifecycle (initiation, delivery and closure).
  • Review lessons learned and update the master lessons learned themes.
  • Creation of dashboards and analysis delivering succinct reports ensuring key elements and messages are maintained.
  • Collate and collect information from varied stakeholders to meet timelines.
  • Contribute to the on-going IT strategy development and execution.
  • Responsible and SME of the Project Management Toolset and standards


Project Manager

While the primary focus of the role will be to deliver the PMO and reporting activities, there will be an opportunity to deliver some small to medium size projects so experience in delivery of projects will be beneficial. Responsibilities include:

  • Be able to document the outcome and requirements of the project.
  • Create and maintain an up-to-date and valid project plan.
  • Maintain and control the project budget and invoices.
  • Provide weekly reporting on project performance against time, cost and quality.
  • Be responsible for the proactive identification, validation and management of project risks and issues from the project team.

 Experience

  • 3+ years of working in /as a PMO team and defining / improving PMO processes.
  • Creation, analysis of executive reporting and ability to summarise succinctly.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience in Project Management delivery.
  • Active PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management methodology certification.
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of projects.
  • Hands on experience with project toolsets such as Azure DevOps, MS Planner and Project, and or Planisware.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Ability to adjust to changing demands and priorities.
  • Experience of multiple Project Management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, Scrum and Hybrid.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Fluency in French would be desirable, but not essential.
