You will be part of the Business Performance & Optimisation - Small Business Banking team.
We leverage data and innovative technology to deeply understand our customers and derive world-class insights to support commercial strategy and decision-making, along with proactively uncovering stakeholder needs and partnering with product, data and support teams to provide innovative, accurate and timely solutions to complex opportunities.
Do work that matters:
You work with business, technology, and product stakeholders to deliver analytics, commercial insights, customer journeys and customer contact decisioning that will transform how the Business Bank engages with our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop and deliver insights and analytics (often using ambiguous data from multiple sources) that supports the creation of value for our customers.
Understanding of macro trends and the Small Business Banking value chain, especially opportunities to implement strategies at scale to serve our customers.
Manage BAU and bespoke analytics projects, overseeing timelines & budgets ensuring that the team delivers impactful solutions. Identify root cause and seek to implement a sustainable achievable solution within business timeline requirements.
Apply frameworks and structure with data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns and insights that can drive exceptional business decisions.
Staying up to date with emerging trends in data analytics, data science and technology and share findings with team.

A growth mindset
Commercial experience with data exploration & analysis tools including SQL, Teradata, Python.
Extensive experience in using data and analytics to drive business results, preferably in the Financial Services sector
Advanced analytical, numerate, and logical reasoning skills
Degree-level qualification in numeric or business discipline
Experience in developing reports and dashboards using visualisation tools and techniques.
High level understanding of business banking mechanics such as ROTE, RACC, ROI, cost of funds etc, or financial accounting principles which form the profit and loss for the business.
