About the role:


This role is responsible for working alongside the broader Commercial & Strategy area to set-up and support the Adviser business for commercial success. They will support with all key business case, business performance and benefits tracking activity. The liaison between the wider Adviser Business and Commercial & Strategy area, a core focus will be to ensure there is a high degree of commercial acumen and understanding across these business areas, ensuring dedication to the wider Adviser Business's strategic objective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key point of contact for all commercial questions/enquiries across the Adviser business

  • Support the modelling and analysis required to develop the relevant business cases

  • Support with analysis to undertake validation of benefit realisation with responsibility for overall tracking of business benefits

  • Provide relevant support and input for business rate card negotiations

  • Maintenance and ownership of business performance dashboards including reviewing how to bring this to life and inform the wider business

  • Production and articulation of relevant MI and BI requirements between the Commercial & Strategy team and wider business functions

  • Support with the creation of key material to feed into wider employee commercial acumen initiatives

  • Draft papers to support new initiatives, consumer duty and business cases

  • Developing and maintaining pricing models (e.g. gathering requirements, building calculations and forecasts, producing output in a suitable format, testing results).

  • Analyse complex, technical and numerical problems, providing practical solutions and implementing these, often within tight deadlines.

  • Understand cashflows, financial modelling and the relative importance of elements within a pricing context to be able to determine whether results are reasonable.

Essential:

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Strong learning and numerical capabilities demonstrated through successful experience.

  • Keen business sense and ability to simplify complex details

  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of data, analysis and output created

  • Strong communicating and influencing skills, particularly of technical concepts in very simple language (verbal and written)

Desirable:

  • A good university degree in Mathematics or a related discipline, e.g. Statistics.

  • Modelling experience

  • Working knowledge of relevant products
