Position Summary

As a Senior Manager on the Product Innovation team, you will be a vital contributor to advancing our portfolio of PBM member affordability products. You will provide expertise and thought leadership contribution ensuring lower prescription drug costs and an improved member experience.

You will lead strategic planning, market research, regulatory compliance, and cross functional collaboration to move the product portfolio forward. In leading management and continued development of key member affordability products, you will be critical to the successful growth of the PBM business and will drive new innovation that leverages our entire suite of CVS Health enterprise assets to their fullest potential. 

In this product owner role, you will:

  • Define product positioning, identify unique value propositions, and ensure effective communication of product portfolio priorities, features, and benefits across the enterprise.
  • Assist the Director in the development and execution of strategic and tactical product plans.
  • Work autonomously and lead product management according to priorities given by Director.
  • Contribute to identification of new product opportunities, and deliver comprehensive business case reviews and recommendations.
  • Identify and define complex business issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis or measure success.
  • Perform market and financial analyses and coordinate market and product research within tight deadlines.
  • Triage operational, legal and regulatory challenges for portfolio products and partner with stakeholders across the organization to drive required changes.
  • Work cross functionally with key stakeholders to define product vision, set strategic goals, and establish a roadmap for product development and enhancements.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience within the healthcare industry, specifically supporting product innovation or a similar industry or focus.
  • 3+ years of management consulting or related high-level analytical or strategy experience within an operational or professional services environment.
  • 3+ years developing data analysis, written communications, presentations for executive and senior executive audiences.
  • Expert level user of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).


Preferred Qualifications

  • PBM industry experience.
  • 3+ years of people management experience. Experience may be direct people management or experience managing stakeholders in a matrix environment (i.e. large project organizational initiative).
  • 3+ years of project leadership experience.
  • Strong product development discipline, including demonstrated experience managing solution ideation, design, testing, development, and measurement to rigorous timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to autonomously execute on project plans, manage priorities, and problem-solve complex business issues under tight timelines
  • Expertise in financial and strategic analysis.
  • Proven capability conducting and managing quantitative analysis, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong functional knowledge of project management processes and tools.
  • Highly developed communication skills to present issues, recommendations, and implementation plans to senior management.
  • Highly developed relationship-building and influencing skills to foster effective working relationships across the team and a large, complex organization.
  • Demonstrated to independently pivot and reprioritize work as organizational priorities change.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects in an environment where next steps are unclear or uncertain.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Masters (MBA, MHA) preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $182,549.40


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
