About the Team
The Digital Assessment team is committed to making higher education accessible to every student through innovative technology, building cutting edge applications to deliver College Board’s suite of assessments. We are a team of 20, including 15 engineers building web and native platforms, self-organized into three main areas, core web application, native technology, and infrastructure engineering. We are constantly seeking out, experimenting, and harnessing new technologies to build easy-to-use user interfaces, with a singular mission to deliver secure and comprehensive assessments to students across the planet. We regularly collaborate, keeping it light, while pitching and sharing our ideas to help define the future of our applications. We work closely with product owners, architects, user experience, testing centers, students, and external partners to serve our mission.
About the Opportunity
As a Lead Engineer on the Digital Assessment team, you will be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining our Bluebook Assessment platform, ensuring its readiness for key digital exam administrations. This role involves delivering critical features, maintaining high standards of security and compliance, and achieving exceptional success rates for exam submissions. Additionally, the Lead Engineer will support the expansion of digital AP subjects and manage operational costs effectively. Their efforts will directly contribute to the smooth and secure delivery of exams, impacting hundreds of thousands of students globally.

The hiring range for a new employee in this position is $158,000 to $173,000

Your salary will be carefully determined based on your location, relevant experience, the external labor market, and the pay of College Board employees in similar roles.
