The Director, Repair & Logistics Operations will plan, organize, lead, control, and coordinate the provision of services in the areas of Repair.  This includes the development, installation, and support of new and existing processes and Clients. Responsible for the overall quality and service of processes associated with Repair.

This is an onsite role in our Lewisville TX facility.

What will be my duties and responsibilities be in this job?

  • Develops short- and long- term goals and plans for areas of responsibility
  • Formulates policy for area(s) of responsibility and secures appropriate approvals
  • Develops and administers procedures necessary to implement approved policy and provides the overall direction necessary to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective area services
  • Hires, develops, evaluates, and (when necessary) disciplines and discharges subordinates personnel or makes authoritative recommendations in such matter
  • Develops function-specific orientation and training programs for area personnel
  • Establishes standards for effective job performance and evaluates subordinates according to such standards
  • Delegates these responsibilities to supervisory personnel as appropriate
  • Responsible for the provision of services in Operations
  • The areas could include Demand Planning, Operations Planning & Control, New Product Introduction, new repair process development and deployment, operations, parts reclamation, client/product implementation, system support, and customer service for areas assigned
  • Including maintaining quality, service and productivity levels. As well as working closely with the Training Department
  • Leveraging Lean 6 Sigma principles is responsible for the development, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of an ongoing quality assurance program for areas of responsibility
  • Work in conjunction with New Product Development to assist with new product development and process modifications
  • May be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the profitability of the products assigned
  • Serves as a liaison with account management, resolving any operational, system, client and product issues that may arise
  • Create and/or modify processes to allow for the processing and servicing of new accounts and products, as well as improving existing processes when practical and cost effective
  • Serves as liaison with other organizational components; establishes and maintains the working rapport necessary to develop cooperation and effectively integrate area services into the company's overall business fulfillment system
  • Receives and investigates all complaints concerning his or her area(s) of responsibility and its personnel; determines veracity of such and (as necessary) takes corrective or disciplinary action and/or prepares reply
  • Directs the preparation of records as well as recurring and special reports and analyses for area(s) of responsibility ensuring that they are complete, accurate and prepared on time
  • Reviews and interprets these in order to ascertain the extent to which goals are being attained Takes corrective action as necessary
  • Product Management - manage the ongoing profitability, marketing and compliance and communication of the Wireless initiative
  • Monitoring and reviewing product development processes and procedures for Wireless
  • Product Innovation, Creation and Implementation - To create and help implement new and core wireless products internationally

What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of related work experience
  • 7+ years of progressively more responsible experience managing complex manufacturing/repair operations
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Great Plains and expert level in Excel (must be able to used functions like pivot tables, charts, and trend analysis)
  • Complete understanding of the Human Resource policies and procedures, area-specific policies and procedures, Demand Planning, Procurement ,Materials Requirement Planning, Production Planning & Control, Life Cycle modeling, New Product Introduction
  • Process development and deployment leveraging Lean/6 Sigma tools
  • Project and Resource planning, systems implementation
  • Processes excellent written and verbal skills
  • Highly analytical with excellent interpersonal skills

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Previous experience or background in a technical or mechanical field
  • Experience with ISO & OSHA requirement
  • Lean Green Belt certification
  • Previous experience working with Oracle

Pay Range:

$138,200.00 - $230,800.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
