Job Description and Responsibilities
EVRAZ North America has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Coordinator in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources Alberta, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the administrative functions related to hiring, attendance tracking, labour relations, performance and return to work management.


The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Attention to detail, customer focus are critical skills for this role.


•    First point of contact for all external HR related queries and general department inquiries
•    Provide support on HR related inquiries or requests through verbal and written communication forms
•    Schedule and coordinate interviews, meetings, training and events
•    Hourly recruiting including developing job descriptions, creating requisitions, screening and selection, offer presentation and pre-employment processing
•    Responsible for the set-up process for new hires
•    Collaborate with other departments, vendors, and various outside contractors
•    Maintain employee records, and attendance tracking
•    Assist with HR system applications related to compensation and payroll changes, one time payments and leave of absence/short term disability entries
•    Ensure employee digital files are up to date and include training discipline tracking, etc. documentation in accordance with compliance requirements
•    Assist and provide administrative and logistical support onboarding, orientation, benefits, payroll, employee relations and basic labor relation processes in collaboration with other HR stakeholders

Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree in a business/HR related field and/or a combination of experience and training
•    2-5 years’ administrative background with Human Resources related responsibilities, 1–2 years’ in a Human Resources role, preferred
•    Expert skills with Microsoft Office suite and experience with integrated human resources information systems, Workday experience is an asset.
•    Results-driven attitude focused on execution and continuous improvement
•    Meticulous attention to detail required
