About the Role

Our Financials Tax & Compliance Product Management team is seeking a Product Manager with proven understanding of Transaction and Withholding taxes - specifically, Global Withholding taxes, general principles of VAT, operational accounting and core financial enterprise business applications.  

When you join Workday as a Tax & Compliance Product Manager you will:

• Lead product discovery and delivery to help achieve exceptional product outcomes for our customers
• Define and execute the Product  roadmap aligned with our overall Financials strategy
• Own the functional application design within your domain
• Apply your combined functional and systems knowledge to analyze customer business processes, implementing required localization requirements
• Collaborate internally with the engineering and QA teams to transform customer pain points into functional specifications and storyboarding
• Build next-generation business applications in a continuous delivery cycle, acting as the voice of the customer and the product management team to ensure product and feature delivery within an Agile environment.
• Develop presentations, mock-ups, flowcharts, and product  demonstrations  to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of product management experience

• 2+ years of product owner experience or working closely with product manager to translate customer and market needs into product deliverables and release support through the entire product life cycle

• 2+ years experience as a large enterprise product manager or Financials system implementation specialist or Indirect Tax Enterprise product specialist.
   

Other Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Product Management experience with expertise in Indirect Taxes, Tax Determination & Reporting or similar regulatory compliance.

• Enterprise system configuration, administration, integration or implementation experience

• Passion for building better user friendly enterprise financial applications that enable users to spend less time consolidating data across different systems without sacrificing functionality and compliance

• Learning agility, detail oriented, decisive, and comfortable with ambiguity.

• Initiative taker, early adopter, technology enthusiast
