Leidos has an opening for a highly qualified Operations Mission Planner for the Multi-Domain Operations Division. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to support across all-domain large-scale weapon systems, Information Technology Systems, and Command and Control Systems to realize the Department of Defense Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). In this role you will support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) to design solutions that can be delivered at speed, scale, and with the necessary security to deliver operational advantages to the joint warfighter. ABMS is a top modernization priority for the Department of the Air Force and will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across JADC2. This position will work closely with Program Managers, Systems Engineers, other domain engineers, and Government counterparts across Government and Industry partners.
Our preferred location is Alexandria, VA, but for the right candidate we would be willing to consider other locations.
Primary Responsibilities
Participate in Working Groups and IPTs, informal/formal technical interchanges, and formal reviews to collaborate with IPT members in the development and design of mission engineer threads in support of the ABMS mission.
Work closely with engineering leads to develop model-based solutions for the ABMS design
Provide input/suggestions on technical approach to the Agile Team Leads
Facilitate technical and programmatic information exchange in support of Consortium Objectives
Participate in Working Groups and IPTs, informal/formal technical interchanges, and formal reviews to develop
Additional responsibilities as needed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 15+ yrs or masters with 12+ yrs Operational Air Force Experience in Command, Control, and Battle Management
US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with ability to obtain a TSSCI clearance
Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems
Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities
Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in deployed air operations centers
Experience with large weapons systems and command and control platforms across the DoD portfolio
