Job Description

Job Title: OPEX Change Agent                                                                               

Department: Operational Excellence Department   

Reports to:  Operational Excellence Manager

Job Description

  • Analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements.
  • Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data.
  • Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity and reduced cost.
  • Determines how new information technologies can support reengineering business processes.
  • May specialize in one or more of the following areas: benchmarking, business process analysis and reengineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions.
  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market.
  • No supervisory responsibilities; accountable for own contribution.
  • Solves complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Impacts a range of business, functional, operational, project or service activities within own team and matrix or related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explains complex, difficult and/or sensitive information; works to build consensus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity; ability to use fingers and hands to feel, handle, or squeeze; reach with hands and arms; twist/turn body.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit, frequently and for extended periods of time.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Exposure to various chemicals including greases, oils, and adhesives in safe exposure amounts and approved for use in our facility by EHS.
  • Exposure to temperature changes.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels with intermittent loud noises.
  • Exposure to vibration.
  • Exposure to dirt and/or dust.
  • Exposure to sharp objects and parts.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, protected by approved guarding and controls.
