About the role:
As a Mid - Senior UX Designer you will craft digital experiences that are useful, usable and delightful for the customer, through applying systematic design strategies. Join EROAD and design world class experiences across our App, Web, and in-cab touch points utilising human-centred design principles to identify and solve customer needs and pain points. Delivering interactions that are easy to use, fit for purpose, and are part of a fully integrated customer experience that will not only help our customers succeed but also drive customer advocacy.

What we’re looking for
Are you an experienced UX Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive, inclusive, and seamless digital experiences? We are looking for a UX Designer to design meaningful user & customer experiences across app, web, and in-cab touchpoints. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving real customer problems, and can translate insights into clear, actionable design outcomes.
About the role
Based in Auckland and reporting to the Digital Experience Director, this role focuses on designing end-to-end user experiences across EROAD’s digital ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, customer-facing teams, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs, shape product direction, and deliver accessible, easy-to-use, and cohesive experiences across platforms.

As a UX Designer, you will be responsible for:
• Leading design across the full lifecycle from opportunity identification and research through to journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, and delivery of final assets
• Partnering with product managers to shape product vision through user research and prioritisation of customer pain points
• Conducting research, testing, and analysis to deeply understand customer behaviours, needs, and opportunities
• Synthesising insights into clear design direction that informs iteration cycles and product decisions
• Translating user needs and business goals into actionable requirements and effective design solutions
• Framing and simplifying complex problems to create experiences that are intuitive, accessible, and delightful
• Championing human-centred and inclusive design practices across all products
• Maintaining, evolving, and promoting the design system to drive consistency, efficiency, and quality
• Communicating design thinking, outcomes, and rationale clearly to build alignment across diverse stakeholders
• Monitoring and measuring the impact of design solutions and using insights to continuously improve the customer experience
Skills and experience
• Proven experience designing at scale across multiple digital platforms, including responsive web, mobile applications, and integrated product environments
• Strong capability in UX deliverables such as user journeys, flows, wireframes, navigation models, prototypes, and interaction specifications
• Solid understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver outcomes in fast-moving environments
• Confidence communicating design rationale and influencing decision-making
• Comfort working with and contributing to design systems to ensure scalable and consistent experiences
• Data-informed approach, with the ability to integrate research, analytics, and customer feedback into design decisions
• 5+ years of professional experience designing digital products or services
• Front-end development knowledge is advantageous but not required
