The Senior HCM Analyst will play a key role in developing YAI's approach to critical agency and workforce systems, focusing on impactful and sustainable data analytics foundations, data governance, and processes to protect and ensure the efficient and proper treatment and use of HCM system including workforce, training, talent, performance and financial data. This role requires assisting in the configuration, design, standardization and maintenance of all ERP information, security and processes in Workday.  Collaboration and partnership with key stakeholders across the organization, including our HR teammates, Finance, Digital SMEs and IT partners, are critical for success in this position.

Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Develop thorough understanding of YAI and network agencies in the following areas: organization and structure, services provided, stakeholders, workflows, processes and touch points to inform process development and support appropriate system design
  • Obtain and maintain a deep understanding of the complete employee life cycle
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with managers and staff across all functions and agencies, key stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Provide assistance in compilation of data for reporting and actionable analytics to assist management with Human Capital decisions
  • Ensure business processes (BPs) use best practice workflows and adhere to all compliance and regulatory guidelines, while streamlining processes and creating efficiencies
  • Work with HCM team to maintain and setup Workday foundational configurations, specializing in areas that affect other functional areas (i.e. Companies, Job Profiles, Supervisory Organizations, BP’s, Benefits, vendor integrations, HCM, Finance, AP, T&A, Payroll)
  • Participate in analyzing system configurations and restructuring to accommodate company needs while adhering to best practices and regulations
  • Consult with the HR Leadership team and business stakeholders to assess and prioritize requests, analyze and diagnose organizational needs, trends and challenges, identify solution options, and solve existing reporting and analytics issues and business needs by creating actionable data
  • Analyze issue trends and propose solutions to streamline posting of financial data
  • Build and maintain the right processes and tools to prioritize requests while ensuring user-centric design of products and solutions
  • Assist the Reporting and Analytics Manager to further develop current HR reporting and analytics systems and processes, with a focus on standardization, simplification, data security and efficiency, setting the right metrics to measure and monitor impact and efficiency, with a focus on driving quality assurance of key workforce data sets, reports and metrics, creating meaningful resources for use in solving business challenges
  • Collaborate with key HR and business stakeholders to understand their strategies and help to translate insights or opportunities through workforce data
  • Participate in requirements gathering, streamlining business processes, configuring updates, and testing upgrades; cleaning up and rectifying data
  • Assist with designing end user and team-specific trainings and guides relating to Workday and new processes and procedures
  • Support system testing functionality and issue resolution and partner with other internal technology teams to resolve issues, as applicable
  • Drive impact, accountability, and growth by helping to prioritize, build and grow the right skills needed, and providing timely and effective feedback
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years experience working on an HR Information Systems team with a broad understanding of all components of HR, benefits, payroll, recruiting, finance, performance, security and learning
  • Strong customer-focus and consultative approach when collaborating and communicating with Human Resources, Finance and Technology teams
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in the areas of data analytics with a lens for both the technical and business and ethical issues, plus opportunities related to ERP and workforce analytics
  • Excellent knowledge of HRIS, data, and systems management or excellent knowledge of program operations management
  • Ability to be flexible and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, sometimes with changing priorities and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical skills and problem-solving ability, particularly in ambiguous or complex situations.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.

Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)

  • Workday experience
  • A preference for working with a collaborative team where you will naturally share ideas
  • Up to date knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and compliance requirements governing YAI agencies and the Human Resources department
  • Ability to build strong collaborative partnerships across functional lines and at many levels across the organization. Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written).
  • A creative mind with the ability to bring new ideas, processes and questions to team

Salary Range Commensurate with Experience - $100,000 - $115,000 Annually
