Position Purpose: Support Value-Based Care initiatives through financial analysis, reporting, and insights that improve outcomes and reduce costs. Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate provider performance, monitor contracts, and drive strategies that advance Centene’s value-based care goals.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of financial or data analysis experience.

In this Finance Analyst II role, you will:

• Conduct financial analysis of value-based care arrangements, including cost, utilization, and provider performance.
• Prepare and deliver reports that highlight financial results, trends, and actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
• Support contract performance monitoring by evaluating provider outcomes against benchmarks and incentive structures.
• Partner with cross-functional teams—including actuarial, operations, and clinical—to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
• Contribute to the design and refinement of performance dashboards, tools, and reporting processes.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality of care through data-driven insights.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data and reporting.
• Participate in ad hoc analyses and special projects to support the Value-Based Care strategy.
• Experience with SAS, SQL Required, Power BI, Python (preferred but not required)
• Compile and analyze financial information for the company. Develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations
• Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately
• Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management

Preferred:

• Foundational understanding of the healthcare industry.
• Strong technical skills, Experience with SQL Required.
• Strong proficiency with Excel, and excel functions like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFS will be very beneficial.

Pay Range: $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
