Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Ability
· Strong understanding of payroll processing, including tax regulations, timing considerations, and special pay scenarios (e.g., bonuses, special pay runs)
· Proficiency in HRIS platforms (iSolved preferred) and familiarity with third party vendors for data analysis and reporting
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
· Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality control in all aspects of payroll
· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and Zoom
· Proficient in setting priorities, managing multiple projects, overcoming obstacles, and utilizing organizational skills to accomplish tasks quickly
Education, Experience and Certifications
· Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, HR, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on payroll and tax regulations
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll and payroll taxes
· Certified Payroll Professional or Fundamental Payroll Certification preferred
· Must have a valid driver’s license
Essential Functions
· Ability to work in a stationary position and use a computer for extended periods of time
· Adequate manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and printers
· Capability to read and understand information presented on a computer screen and in written documents
· Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members in person, over the phone, and through electronic correspondence
· Flexibility to attend in-person meetings or training sessions as required, which may involve travel and overnight stays
· Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule, including potential for work outside of standard business hours to meet client needs
· Ability to lift 20 lbs
· Ability to bend, kneel, twist, or reach out
