The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic liaison between HR COEs and assigned hospital departments, ensuring that human resources initiatives align with the hospital's mission and goals. This role fosters strong partnerships with leadership to drive workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. The HRBP plays a crucial role in enhancing the employee experience, supporting hospital growth, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, healthcare regulations, and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
The HR Business Partner will work primarily in an office environment within the hospital, with occasional rounds in hospital departments to provide support to employees and leadership.

1. Strategic HR Partnership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to hospital leadership, providing insights and guidance on HR-related matters.
- Collaborate with department heads to align HR initiatives with business objectives and patient care goals, facilitating effective communication and understanding of HR services.
- Support organizational structure design, leadership development, and succession planning efforts.
2. Talent Acquisition and Management:
- Works with client groups and talent acquisition/on-boarding to assess recruitment, retention, and employee engagement strategies.
- Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
- Identify training and development needs and implement programs that support employee growth and career development.
3. Employee Relations:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee concerns, helping to interpret policies and facilitate resolutions.
- Provide coaching and conflict resolution support for managers and employees, ensuring a supportive environment.
- Conduct investigations as needed and offer recommendations for issue resolution while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and labor laws.
- Conduct documentation audits and respond to requests related to applicable accreditation standards.
- Assist with corrective action processes up to and including terminations, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
4. Compensation and Benefits:
- Collaborate with the Compensation Department to support salary administration, including market analysis and pay adjustments.
- Advise managers on salary decisions, promotions, and benefits offerings, ensuring alignment with hospital goals.
- Contribute to the design and execution of competitive benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
5. Leave and Disability Management:
- Serve as an initial point of contact for employees seeking information about leave options and the process for workplace accommodations ensuring compliance with applicable laws and hospital policies.
- Support employees in navigating disability accommodations and return-to-work processes, coordinating with the Employee Health and Benefit Departments to ensure seamless transitions.
- Collaborate with department heads to manage workforce planning related to leaves and disabilities, minimizing disruptions to operations.
6. Change Management & Organizational Effectiveness:
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and high adoption rates within departments.
- Assess organizational needs and collaborate with relevant departments on solutions to enhance overall hospital performance and patient outcomes.
- Utilize data and analytics to provide insights into workforce trends and effectiveness, sharing findings to inform strategic planning.
