The Growth Marketing team at Airbnb is at the intersection of marketing, engineering and data science. Our work is imperative to driving the top line of the entire company. As a Senior Growth Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in managing Airbnb's relationship with our guests. Your responsibilities include helping develop the strategy, enhancement, and execution of lifecycle marketing programs and campaigns across email, push, SMS, and in-app notifications, focused on improving our key customer engagement metrics (browse, search, page views) and re-engagement (repeat visits and activating of churned guests) to ultimately grow reach and drive guests further into the conversion funnel. 

The Difference You Will Make:

The Growth Marketing Korea Lead will lead all Growth Marketing activations in the Korean market. You will be able to represent all Growth Market channels amongst Korea leadership, while being an extension of the team in HQ. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams such as Brand Marketing, FP&A, Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Design. This role utilizes a strong analytical background with a passion for executing scalable Growth Marketing strategies. Additionally, you will own SEM executions in Korea and facilitate SEM optimizations in other regions. You will leverage local insights to deliver accelerated profitable growth across search on multiple platforms. Success in this role means understanding the value of Growth Marketing levers and representing those insights in Korea leadership conversations. 

A Typical Day: 

  • Be a growth marketing channel expert to help accelerate growth in the Korean market; be able to manage a broad spectrum of Growth Marketing tactics to acquire new users and retain existing users.
  • Represent strategic growth initiatives in leadership business reviews; providing insights into channel trends, impact of key initiatives, and cascade insights to team 
  • Have general knowledge of campaign optimization strategies to drive efficiency (Paid Channels), acquisition and retention tactics (Engagement), and organic levers, and familiarity w/ marketing automation tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional (remote) teams including brand marketing, creative, engineering and analytics to inform growth marketing strategies for Korea. This includes identifying key growth opportunities through both quantitative and qualitative analyses for Korea, and evangelizing these opportunities to cross-functional teams. 
  • Be highly analytical and technical; be an expert in tracking, audience creation, measurement, attribution, optimization, and automation across the Airbnb 

Your Expertise:

  • 10+ years of relevant SEM experience in a consumer-facing, fast-paced ecommerce company. Product management experience is a big plus.
  • Solid track record of successfully managing and executing large-scale B2C SEM campaigns and cross-functional projects. Experience with marketplaces is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of SEM strategy and management, with strong interest in how it works “under the hood” (i.e. tracking, marketing tech stack, tooling, privacy)
  •  Strong sense of ownership and is able to deal with ambiguity, while being able to focus on efficient execution and balancing big-picture thinking
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in data-driven marketing. SQL skills a plus. Must be extremely proficient in spreadsheets and storytelling with data. 
  •   Exceptional communication in skills in Korean and English and with the ability to  communicate insights effectively to stakeholders and leadership
