The SEC Reporting Manager is responsible for completing, accumulating and submitting all necessary documentation, analyses and reports for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. They will manage a team of employees to achieve all department goals and will work alongside both internal and external personnel.

General Responsibilities
• Manage and assist staff with preparation of all SEC financial filings in accordance with GAAP and SEC rules
• Independently analyze and evaluate accounting issues and financial transactions for compliance with applicable accounting rules and SEC regulations and assist with the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and/or interpretations thereof
• Implement accounting and related processes to support new business offerings and business growth
• Responsible for the rollout of any US GAAP accounting requirements in foreign subsidiaries
• Serve as liaison to functions and divisions outside the corporate accounting and reporting organization on accounting and reporting matters including foreign subsidiaries, corporate tax and investor relations
• Perform complex ongoing accounting tasks, g., stock-based compensation, earnings per share
• Drive continuous improvement in the timeliness and accuracy of the external reporting process
• Manage special projects and unique analyses related to acquisitions, business development, financing transactions and other corporate-level initiatives
• Assist in various special projects and technical accounting reviews
• Recruits, trains, develops, coaches, and manages team to ensure priorities and deliverables are met

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
• Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

  • CPA required

  • Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) preferred
