International Regulatory Reporting Centralized Production and Transformation Head role within the Finance Controller organization, reports to the Banking, International & Legacy Franchises Controller.
The individual will be part of the International Controllers’ Senior Leadership Team managing and leading a team of 600+ employees across diverse locations, concentration being in Budapest Citi Solutions Center.
The individual will play a key role in the organization and provide support to cluster controllers, as well as the international Controller, in maintaining sustainable report production execution in centralized hubs adhering to best-in-class control standards, as well as devising and driving automation and digitization strategy and execution across 6 International clusters.
The job requires experience with and understanding of local regulatory reporting processes, control standards, automation pathways and implementation processes, regulatory liaison, and overall regulatory climate across jurisdictions where Citi is operating. Experience and proven track record on leading large teams in diverse locations, serving multiple internal and external stakeholders is a key requirement for the role.
Responsibilities:
- Defines, implements and monitors legal entity local regulatory reporting automation strategy, including prioritization approach, tool selection and delivery approach.
- Closely collaborates with Technology partners to create a healthy dialogue through which delivery is robust and fit for purpose.
- Ensures sustainable and robust change management processes vis a vis externally driven regulatory change and internally driven changes through new products, changes in legal entity structure and upstream changes.
- Leads centralized teams responsible for production of legal entity regulatory report production, including the ones that are externally submitted and management reports linked to monitoring of prudential and liquidity ratios where required by the regulators. Coverage of these teams is all Controllers’ owned reports, including production of ICAAPs, financial statements, prudential and statistical reports.
- Defines and drives centralization strategy for reports remaining under Country Finance coverage, considering, regulatory restrictions in jurisdictions in question and feasibility of such migration.
- Drives active assessment of control standards versus execution needs so as to ensure they are designed sufficiently to significantly mitigate risks and balanced considering available resources. Ensures clear and standard guidelines for controls are accessible and available to team members.
- Drives best-in class control and ethics culture across the teams managed, with focus on timely escalation and transparency.
- Collaborates with the Data organization to drive remediation of data, primarily impacting local regulatory reporting.
- Leads the team with focus on diversity and inclusion, effective talent management, open communication and collaboration.
- Creates an environment where effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration is encouraged and praised.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable relevant experience
- Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred; managerial experience
- Advanced level of experience with extensive experience managing large functions
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Able to analyse and think through highly complex issues and recommend solutions.
- Growth mindset and ability to innovate and champion progress for efficiency and productivity.
