Working closely with the Consulting Marketing Leader and the RSM Business Leader for Microsoft, the Microsoft Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing a comprehensive, marketing strategy and go-to-market plan that helps RSM to grow it’s Microsoft services business at scale.  This individual will be responsible for assisting in the development of marketing plans that support our Microsoft platform with a specific focus on all aspects of our D365, Power Platform and Azure capabilities across consulting.  The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Microsoft enterprise solutions, co-marketing with software partners, the B2B technology space and deep expertise in the development of effective marketing strategies in the B2B space.

Essential Duties:

Works closely with key business leaders to develop and implement a marketing strategy in support of our Microsoft capabilities

  • Understands the business and strategic priorities, including growth targets
  • Embeds themselves within the Microsoft Services team as a member of their leadership team
  • Understands the marketplace, buyer personas and represents the “voice-of-the-client” back to the business, and ensures incorporation into the marketing and go-to-market strategies and plans
  • Develops and secures buy-in for the marketing strategy (target audiences, value propositions, etc.) to support business growth goals
  • Provides deep understanding of buyer preferences/needs, RSM positioning and differentiators that are necessary to create content, working with SME(s) to facilitate the creation of content by the Demand Generation and/or COE teams
  • Serves as the primary interface with Demand Generation to provide inputs and guidance related to the translation of the marketing strategy to the demand program strategy
  • Defines and is accountable for key marketing metrics (pipeline, leads, etc.)
  • Serves as the Marketing point-of-contact for all results reporting back to the business
  • Collaborates with Industry, Tax, Audit and Consulting marketers to ensure alignment of marketing strategies across service lines and industries
  • Evaluates all requests for marketing support coming from the business to determine validity and then, working with the demand generation team, determines which activities should be included within the program framework and campaigns versus which activities are executed in direct support of their business
  • Works directly with the COE on marketing enablement needs of the service line (e.g. placemats, capability presentations, etc.), provides clear briefs to for completion of this work and serves as the initial reviewer on all material
  • Manages industry/service line web content for the service line and works with the COE team on page revisions and updates as appropriate
  • Collaborates on marketing strategy for new product launches

  • Participates in all appropriate marketing learning and development to build skills and capabilities
  • Participates, as appropriate, in cross-firm projects related to marketing and demand generation capability development and enhancements
  • Engages with various members of the Lines of Business, Industry and Sales teams to help educate teams related to the Microsoft practice

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint
  • Excellent project management, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new subject areas quickly

EXPERIENCE

  • 5-7 years of leading marketing/growth experience in B2B environment
  • Experience in working with application providers to develop joint go-to-marketing plans is preferred
  • Understanding of Microsoft enterprise solutions and IT software marketing preferred

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $92,600 - $159,000

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
