Position Overview:
Blue Yonder Defense Solutions (BYDS) is seeking an experienced, enterprise-level, Sr. Principal Solutions Advisor to join our team. The Sr. Principal Solutions Advisor will support the deployment and optimization of commercial supply chain software solutions within the unique and complex landscape of the Defense Industry. This role will serve as a critical liaison between defense logistics stakeholders and commercial software platforms—translating mission needs into scalable, secure, and effective digital solutions. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Blue Yonder’s supply chain planning suite, understands ERP integration (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and is comfortable navigating the technical, operational, and compliance constraints within defense environments.
Location: US-Remote with the ability to travel up to 30%
What You’ll Do:
Translate DoD logistics and sustainment challenges into actionable system designs and configurations using commercial supply chain software.
Lead solution design sessions and system integration efforts involving Blue Yonder tools (Demand Planning, Luminate, Transportation Management, etc.).
Collaborate with government clients, integrators, and software vendors to ensure seamless integration with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion).
Align commercial capabilities with DoD compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, IL5/6 hosting, RMF).
Facilitate testing, training, and deployment in coordination with DoD program offices and end users.
Conduct data mapping and business process reengineering to improve logistics visibility, forecasting, and mission readiness.
Participate in proposal efforts, architecture reviews, and product demos, lead as needed.
Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder platforms in Planning and Fulfillment modules is ideal. Competitive solutions like SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, E2Open will be considered.
Working knowledge of major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and system integration methods (APIs, middleware, ETL tools).
Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (e.g., CMMC, FedRAMP) relevant to government systems.
Soft Skills
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills with a penchant for storytelling and designing narrative-driven demos
Ability to present complex technical and value-based concepts clearly to executive and technical audiences.
Strong facilitation and documentation skills to lead workshops and create professional solution blueprints.
Who You Are
10 years of experience in the supply chain industry is required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Solutions/Value Engineering, with a deep background in defense logistics is required.
Strong understanding of DoD supply chain environments, including DLA, Army logistics systems, and USAF maintenance/sustainment frameworks.
U.S. Secret (or higher) clearance is required.

The salary range for this role is $160,000- $215,000 USD
The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
