products as well as MRO supplies. Installs, trains, repairs & trouble-shoots (on-site, phone, email, and
remote) for both internal and external customers.
○ Configures, sets-up, programs, and troubleshoots Airgas’s product vending machines including PC
configuration, help desk support, setting up and maintaining simple networks for data, product testing,
software testing, and technical writing of programming/processes.
○ Builds, creates, establishes and maintains the employee and product databases for the Airgas North
Central Supply Chain Programs.
○ Requires direct collaboration with end users and internal customers along with the manufacturers.
○ Troubleshoots machines and repairs both remote and onsite as necessary while also being able to
train local team members on the same.
○ Responds to customer requests for assistance in a timely manner based on established guidelines for
machine service, support, database changes & maintenance.
○ Resolves requests for support in a timely manner by addressing issues within the guidelines
established for the various priorities.
● Provides communication to managers, customers and manufacturers including regular status updates for
critical and high priority open issues
○ Communicating with the user on progress in resolving support cases and bi-weekly updates for medium and
low priority open issues with the manager; this can include manufacturer defects and recalls.
● Partners with local sales teams to help increase sales, improve profitability, and reduce operational costs
when implementing Airgas’s supply chain management services.
○ Provides back-office sales support to sales team members in their efforts to market Supply Chain
Management Programs.
○ Assists with development of site specific Supply Chain Management service programs through: feasibility
studies, preliminary customer proposals, detailed customer site audits, work scope definitions, cost
saving evaluations, and customer transition planning.
● Communicates to internal and external customers the merits and features of the following:
○ Airgas’s electronic data inventory vending solution, Supply Chain Management .
○ The features of Supply Chain Solutions advanced asset utilization system, Airgas Inventory Management
(EZ TRAC).
○ Assists with proposing viable vending supply chain solutions based on customer’s needs.
● Partners with local sales teams to help increase sales, improve profitability, and reduce operational costs
when implementing Airgas’s supply chain management services.
● Maintains work activities in the EZ TRAC electronic case tracking system.
○ Tracks all requests to implement the EZ TRAC system at existing customers or prospects.
○ Tracks all customer statistics related to EZ TRAC customer utilization.
○ Tracks customer issues and any software bugs for resolution.
○ Conducts and participates in EZ TRAC onsite cylinder implementation and audits.
○ Configures, installs and supports EZ TRAC onsite hardgoods implementations.
● Special projects and other duties as necessary
High School Diploma or GED Required. Two to four year college degree preferred.
● Must have prior inventory management, customer service, sales and/or PC help desk related experience.
● Prior route sales experience is a plus.
● Prior experience with welding and safety products preferred.
● Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
● Ability to provide administrative support for a Database Management System (DBMS). Including SAP,
● Sql Server, Crystal Reports, CSV Files exports and Imports.
● Ability to provide remote and onsite administrative support using Proxy Pro, Advantage Web, and Log Me In
Software.
● Must have knowledge of software and hardware installation.
● Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing; listens effectively and clarifies information as
needed; works well with others in a team environment across the organization knowing who to engage to
achieve results. Uses candor and sensitivity in their dealings with others.
● Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adjust communication
methods based on customer situations.

● Ability to spend up to approximately 70% to 80% of time traveling to customer locations in assigned territory or region.
