We are seeking a seasoned and skilled Paralegal to join our global legal team. The Litigation and Legal Operations Paralegal will primarily be responsible for litigation support and records management.  The Paralegal will be responsible for investigating facts, conducting and coordinating document collections, and analyzing, preparing, organizing, and maintaining legal documents and correspondence, as well as providing administrative support as required. This role will also involve administering the Company’s records management program.  In carrying out these duties, the Paralegal will communicate with various internal stakeholders and external contacts (including outside counsel), prepare business correspondence and reports, and assist with the organization and maintenance of company documents and department files. The Paralegal will be supervised by in-house counsel on legal matters and will be required to utilize independent judgment and make recommendations to legal staff on a variety of matters.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Litigation: Assist in-house counsel in the management of litigation; including gathering information, drafting legal documents, correspondence and other related documentation, tracking and calendaring relevant deadlines, assisting with investigations, managing and organizing files, and assisting with other tasks as required.
  • Records Management: Use technology to administer the Company’s Records Management program; liaising with Records Coordinators at the business segments to ensure the maintenance and destruction of records in accordance with retention schedules.
  • Legal Operations: Work with in-house counsel and Legal Operations Manager to establish enterprise-wide procedures for responding to discovery requests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree, a certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 or more years of related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to interface with personnel at all levels in-person or virtually.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and thrive in a busy team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with legal operations technology tools, ie. e-billing systems, e-discovery tools, records management platforms.
