We're looking for a Senior Analyst, People Process & Technology, to join our team!  This position is an exciting opportunity to help us continue our Workday HCM journey and work for the largest Employer in Canada!

Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Process & Technology, you will be part of the Business Analyst team that supports the scoping, design, and deployment of Workday features and enhancements with a focus on HCM to ensure that our Workday platform delivers a positive user experience. 

As part of the team, you will ensure our Workday environment's integrity and overall system operation through ongoing product expertise, enhancements, support, testing, training, and troubleshooting. As a Workday subject matter expert, you will also serve as one of our users' points of contact.

Here are a few ways you'll make a difference:

  • Build and foster partnerships with business COEs, and cross-functional teams
  • Support multi-year product/enhancement roadmap/backlog for COE
  • Plan, scope, and deploy enhancements/initiatives in collaboration with Process lead, development team, and other broader People Technology and business resources
  • Lead discovery, requirements gathering, design, development, testing and change management of Workday solutions for HCM
  • Leverage your knowledge of Workday features to minimize user frustration, increase productivity, reduce maintenance efforts, and deliver sustainability at scale
  • Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide subject matter insights and recommendations
  • Recommend and implement solutions based on issue analysis and business impact
  • Develop solutions based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs, ensuring solutions return stakeholder value and business results
  • Conduct research using Workday’s online courses and Community forum on various documentation and configuration to provide SME support
  • Promote reporting automation, self-service, and culture of data-driven decisions
  • Support development and execution of strategic analytics & reporting initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • ·Work independently and regularly handle non-routine situations and system anomalies
  • Coach and mentor development of Analysts on BA role
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Recipe for Success:

  • Typically, between 3-5 years of Workday experience across multiple HR disciplines and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong HR Functional knowledge in HCM including processes, pain points, challenges, leading practice solutions, current thought leadership, etc. to support Talent transformation initiatives
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with Workday specifically for HCM
  • Knowledge and expertise with delivered Workday tools and functionality
  • Knowledge and experience with the Workday Security model
  • Strong business relationship skills
  • Skill areas include project management, verbal & written communication, collaboration & teaming, analytical and problem-solving
  • Ability to influence design decisions based on knowledge of Workday capability
  • Knowledge and experience with the Workday Deployment Methodology / SDLC (e.g., Plan, Design, Build, Test, Deploy, Support)
  • Willingness and curiosity to learn and grow in the Workday space by expanding and maintaining your current Workday knowledge/certifications, understanding the product roadmap, challenging the conventional and dynamically solving problems through hands-on, PoC, trial-and-error, research, etc
  • A passion for solving complex problems and providing high service levels to our client groups.
