The Analytics & Behavior Change (A&BC) organization within CVS Health is working on solving the biggest challenges and the uncovering the largest opportunities across the enterprise. To achieve this mission, A&BC leverages all forms of advanced analytics including predictive and prescriptive modeling, machine learning, and AI to power data driven decision making. A&BC’s work transforms data into actionable recommendations to drive growth and engage CVS Health’s millions of retail customers. 


We are looking for a rock star Executive Director of Product – Retail Analytics Solutions who will be responsible for owning the next evolution of our portfolio of business-critical merchandising software applications. These solutions help our retail business optimize merchandising decisions for assortment, pricing, promotions, and related functions. They are part of the foundation for how CVS retail executes in our 9,000+ stores, optimizes customer experience, and drives efficient growth.

This role will be a senior leader in our retail data science organization and help drive an accelerated push towards productization of our data science solutions. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes product, who is passionate about retail, and who is committed to scaling analytics solutions that delight users.

How you’ll drive impact:

  • Own the strategy for the suite of solutions that power retail merchandising decisions for our 9,000+ stores
  • Partner closely with senior business leaders and front-line users to understand needs and pain points and proactively propose solutions
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and scale innovative upgrades to existing products and perform pattern recognition to build new ones
  • Bring deep experience and expertise in product excellence, user centricity, and design thinking to craft solutions that delight users
  • Serve as a product “lighthouse” within the broader A&BC organization helping to spread product-based thinking and ways of working across the organization

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in strategic leadership of analytics software products and solutions in a retail or CPG setting
  • Track record of scaling and deploying high-profile, execution-oriented data science or analytics products for retail or CPG with sustained user adoption
  • Ability to engage with senior business stakeholders independently and with high credibility
  • Comfortable and fluent flexing between strategic, big picture-thinking and tactical, detail-oriented execution
  • Ability to translate complex, technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work a hybrid model (in a local office Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using low-code software development platforms to build analytics products (e.g. Palantir, ThoughtSpot, etc)
  • Master’s degree or MBA with a focus in a quantitative field
  • Located in (or willing to relocate to) the Boston metro area; NYC area also a potential option
  • Expertise in data science methods and applications
  • Specific, proven experience designing, developing and scaling analytics software products and solutions for assortment, pricing, and/or promotions for large retail store networks

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$175,100.00 - $334,800.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
