Location: CRS Group Inc. is able to offer remote employment of this position within the United States

Job Type: Full-Time

About Us:

We are a remote-friendly, entrepreneurial, energetic team on a mission to empower an equitable economy with better access to regulated data and modern technology. We are a Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) and trusted partner of credit bureaus and regulated data providers with an all-in-one technology platform for credit and compliance. As a company built on 25 years of credit industry expertise and merged with modern technology, we are a force of positive change in the longstanding credit industry – and for all those who rely on it.

Headquartered in Northern California with satellite offices in NYC, CRS Group Inc. is a certified CRA for Equifax®, Experian®, and TransUnion®. Founded in 2019, CRS is a subsidiary of Credit Reporting Services, Inc., an established CRA trusted by the credit industry since 2006.

Job Description

CRS is hiring a senior marketing leader to help take the company from “strong inbound engine” to category-leading brand in credit data infrastructure. Historically, CRS has been driven by PPC + SEO to generate inbound demand. Over the last year, the team began expanding into AI search visibility, stronger content, and early brand-building efforts on LinkedIn. 2026 is the inflection point: CRS is showing up in more competitive deals, and the business wants marketing to become a primary growth lever, not a side function.

This role will own the next phase of growth: build a credible industry presence, sharpen product and category messaging, and drive measurable pipeline and expansion outcomes. You’ll be expected to be hands-on early (player/coach), prove traction quickly, and use that momentum to justify building a team and/or agency bench. The environment favors people with a “founder gene” who are comfortable doing the work, creating the strategy, and pushing the business forward with intensity.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the marketing strategy beyond PPC/SEO into a broader engine across content, product marketing, events, and industry presence

  • Drive pipeline growth and pipeline mix improvement, with an emphasis on increasing average deal size over time

  • Strengthen “land and expand” marketing motions, including a cohesive approach to customer marketing / base re-education across ~600 non-channel accounts

  • Build CRS’s external credibility and visibility through speaking engagements, panels, podcasts, awards, and trade show dominance

  • Partner closely with Product and GTM leadership to build strong product marketing collateral (positioning, messaging, narratives, sales enablement assets)

  • Maintain and protect the core performance marketing engine (ensure it doesn’t falter), while focusing energy on higher-leverage growth levers

  • Develop and track measurable indicators of brand and market momentum (e.g., branded search volume, social engagement, share of voice, inbound quality)

  • Leverage modern AI-enabled workflows to scale output (especially content repurposing and production) without sacrificing quality or expertise

  • Build the roadmap for hiring and/or agency support as traction grows (team-building is the goal, but scrappy execution is required early)

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to operate as a high-leverage player/coach, comfortable doing hands-on work while setting direction

  • Strong experience in content + product marketing (not just demand gen), with clear examples of elevating positioning and narrative

  • Demonstrated track record of driving measurable pipeline outcomes (pipeline generated, conversion, deal quality/mix, velocity)

  • Ability to translate complex products into compelling messaging; strong writing, storytelling, and executive-level narrative skills

  • Experience building industry credibility: events, partnerships, panels, podcasts, thought leadership, and/or community presence

  • Analytical rigor: comfortable with attribution concepts and performance measurement, but not limited to “just optimizing ads”

  • Thrives in a founder-led environment: high ownership, fast pace, direct feedback, and strong opinions

  • The “foaming at the mouth” energy: intense, proactive, pushes for outcomes, and can command a room externally

  • Willingness to be an IC initially with a clear plan to “create the need” to hire and scale the function

Nice to Haves

  • Prior experience in credit, lending, fintech infrastructure, regulated data, bureaus, or adjacent ecosystems (helpful, not always required)

  • Existing industry overlap/network (e.g., meaningful mutual connections across fintech/credit ecosystems)

  • Experience increasing brand search volume / brand demand and articulating brand impact with credible proof points

  • Strong trade show strategy experience (beyond “attend and collect leads” → dominate presence and credibility)

  • Experience building customer marketing and expansion motions (base education, upsell campaigns, lifecycle content)

  • Familiarity with AI search / emerging discovery channels and/or using AI workflows to scale content responsibly

  • NYC-area based (preferred for collaboration and market presence), with openness to SF as a secondary option

  • Passion for improving leadership diversity and building teams with broader representation over time

  • Play a key role on a high impact team facing mission critical challenges.
